Thanks so much again for checking out our lighthearted, somewhat lo-fi version of “Refugee” (and if you’d like to read a little more on how it came about – and watch the video – just click here.
Here’s a little more information about our band and our music:
- Radio Nowhere is a band from sunny (and dangerous!) Oakland, CA, that plays rootsy American rock/pop with a slight UK twist: If you’re a fan of Tom Petty, Counting Crows, or The Wallflowers, you’ll definitely like this
- Radio Nowhere is fronted by singer/songwriter Mike Baker (hi). I’m first and foremost a music fan, just like you, who got into this in the first place because I stumbled upon my parents’ copy of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band when I was six and got freaked out by all the colors on the LP jacket. Freaked out in a good way.
- Radio Nowhere is about real musicians writing real songs, committed to making honest, authentic, passionate music that you can crank in the car on a hot summer road trip, learn all the words to and sing around a campfire, or keep you company in the middle of a quiet night.
I hope you really dig our version of “Refugee” – keep your eye open for the occasional email letting you know about more music, shows, and other cool stuff – we’ve got great things planned for this year!
Thanks again! – Mike from Radio Nowhere
P.S. I’ve had quite a few people email me and say “hey, I loved the Petty cover, but I never heard from you again – do you have more music?” The deal is that messages from Radio Nowhere might be getting stuck in your spam filter, so you might want to whitelist my email address (that’s firstname.lastname@example.org) or add me to your list of approved senders.
And oh, yes – there’s more music! Connect with me on Patreon, Twitter or YouTube to hear about the new stuff;)
