Last week I found myself in Dallas, Texas with four days to kill. I decided that the best way to kill four days in Dallas was actually to do it somewhere else, so I rented a tiny red car and set out for Big Bend National Park, about 600 miles away on the Rio Grande river.
I figured that the trip would be long on clear skies and great ideas for a song, and it did not disappoint. The Dairy Queens every quarter mile were a bonus. If you’re snowed or rained in in your part of the country, or the world, maybe these shots of West Texas will cheer you up.
